Effective Date: July 31, 2026 Welcome to UnSee (“we,” “us,” or “the App”). UnSee is an on-device image privacy tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how that information is used, and how you can manage or delete related data.

1. Our Privacy Principles

Image analysis, text recognition, candidate detection, and mask rendering are performed on your device.
  • We do not operate servers that receive your images or recognition results.
  • We do not upload original images, OCR text, candidate regions, or mask positions.
  • The App does not require an account or sign-in.
  • The App does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics.

2. Information Processed by the App

2.1 Images You Select

When you select an image through the system photo picker, UnSee receives only the image you explicitly choose. This does not give the App full read access to your photo library. The image is processed on your device to:
  • display an editing preview;
  • detect text, faces, and QR codes locally with Apple Vision;
  • apply pixelation, blur, or solid masks that you select; and
  • create a processed copy for you to save or share.
Images, OCR results, candidate regions, and editing state are used only for the current workflow. UnSee does not provide cloud project storage or send this content to us.

2.2 Image Metadata

“Automatically Remove Image Metadata” is enabled by default. When enabled, UnSee creates a new flattened JPEG copy and removes sensitive metadata such as location, capture device, and camera details. If you disable this option in Settings, an exported image may retain GPS location, device model, capture time, and other EXIF, TIFF, or IPTC information from the source image. Review this setting before sharing.

2.3 Local Preferences

UnSee stores preferences such as mask style, intensity, detection options, metadata removal, and export size locally on your device. These preferences are not uploaded to us and generally remain until you reset them or uninstall the App.

2.4 Saving and Sharing

UnSee requests permission to add an image to Photos only when you choose “Save Copy.” You can revoke this permission in system Settings. When you use the system share sheet, the processed image is sent to the app or service you select. The recipient’s handling of that image is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not control how third-party sharing destinations store or use it.

2.5 In-App Purchases

UnSee Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your card number, payment account, or complete payment details. Apple may provide transaction and entitlement information needed to confirm purchase status. Verification is performed on the device through StoreKit.

2.6 Feedback You Choose to Email

If you choose to send feedback in the App, your system mail client opens a message addressed to superxsoft@foxmail.com. The message is prefilled with the system version, device model, and App version. Your email address, feedback, and any attachments you add are also sent to us. We use this information only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the product. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and meet security, dispute-resolution, or legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Do not send unredacted sensitive images, passwords, identity numbers, or payment information in a support request.

3. Third-Party Services

UnSee uses the following Apple system services for core functionality:
  • Photo Picker and Photos to select an image and save a copy at your request;
  • Apple Vision to detect text, faces, and QR codes on the device;
  • Apple App Store and StoreKit to display pricing, process purchases, and restore purchases; and
  • System Share Sheet and Mail Client to share an image or send feedback when you choose to do so.
These services are provided by Apple or by an app you select. Their handling of data is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Images and recognition results in the current editing workflow are not uploaded to our servers. The App does not retain them as cloud projects after you leave the workflow or the App process ends.
  • Copies saved to Photos or shared with another app are controlled by you and the corresponding service. You can delete them at their destination.
  • Local preferences can be removed by uninstalling the App.
  • To ask about or request deletion of information you previously emailed to support, contact us from the same email address.
Because UnSee has no user accounts or cloud storage, we generally cannot identify or access data stored locally on your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

UnSee is not specifically directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support email, contact us to request deletion.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when features, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. We will revise the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or documentation site for material changes.
