Welcome to UnSee. If you have trouble selecting an image, detecting private information, editing, saving, sharing, or restoring a purchase, contact us using the information below.
We will make a reasonable effort to respond to support requests. Response times may vary depending on complexity and time zone.
What to Include in a Report
To help us troubleshoot, include as much of the following as possible:
- device model;
- iOS or iPadOS version;
- UnSee version;
- image format and approximate dimensions, such as JPEG, PNG, or 4032 × 3024;
- steps performed before the issue occurred;
- any error message shown; and
- a screenshot or screen recording with sensitive content already redacted, if available.
Do not email unredacted identity documents, bank cards, addresses, QR codes, passwords, or other sensitive information. If a screenshot is useful for troubleshooting, redact it with UnSee or another tool first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does UnSee upload my images?
No. Image analysis, OCR, face and QR code detection, and mask rendering are performed on your device. UnSee does not provide cloud image storage and does not require sign-in.
Why does selecting a photo not request full library access?
UnSee uses Apple’s system photo picker and receives only the image you explicitly select. The system requests add-only Photos permission when it is needed to save a processed copy.
What should I do if UnSee cannot save to Photos?
Open system Settings and check the Photos permission for UnSee. Allow the App to add photos. You can also use the system share sheet on the export screen to save the image to Files or send it to another app.
Why did automatic detection miss or incorrectly mark something?
Detection can be affected by image quality, text size, language, angle, and background. It is an assistant and cannot guarantee that every sensitive item will be found. Zoom in on the export review and use the rectangle or brush tool to cover anything that was missed.
How do I make sure location and camera details are removed?
“Automatically Remove Image Metadata” is enabled by default. Keep it enabled under Settings > Export. If it is disabled, exported images may retain location, device, and capture information from the source.
Why is the exported image smaller?
“Balance File Size” is enabled by default to reduce memory use and improve stability. It limits the longest edge to 2560 pixels. When disabled, the limit is 4096 pixels. Exports are generated as JPEG files, so a transparent PNG will lose transparency.
What should I do if export remains on “Generating”?
Large images and images with multiple blur or pixelation regions can take longer. Tap Cancel, wait for cancellation to finish, and try again. If the issue continues, restart the App and include the source dimensions and number of masks in your report. You do not need to attach the original sensitive image.
Why does the free version add a watermark?
Free exports include an UnSee watermark. UnSee Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks watermark-free exports.
How do I restore UnSee Pro?
Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Open Settings > UnSee Pro and choose Restore Purchase. Purchases and restoration are handled by the Apple App Store.
What happens if I delete UnSee?
Uninstalling the App removes local preferences. Images already saved to Photos or shared with other apps are not automatically deleted; manage those copies at their destination.
